A website for selling newly constructed apartments in Portugal

About the project

A developer in Lisbon is building a residential complex and selling the flats in stages. Each new phase begins only after a certain number of units in the previous building have been sold.

Previously, sales were handled through intermediaries, which increased costs due to high commission fees. To reduce expenses and gain full control over the process, the developer decided to create their own website

Objectives to be achieved through the website

{01}

Attract buyers directly, without intermediaries

{02}

Make it easy to add new buildings and apartments

{03}

Simplify communication and inform clients

{04}

Prepare the website for promotion through search engines

Based on an analysis of competitors’ websites and open sources, I identified the key questions most often raised by buyers of newly built properties

Selection factors

Location and future development

Buyers pay close attention to convenient location, transport accessibility, and proximity to schools, shops, and green spaces. It is also important to consider how the neighbourhood will develop in the future: whether new roads will be built, infrastructure improved, and the environment enhanced.

Layouts and apartment size

A functional layout and suitable size are among the main factors in choosing a home. People look for a space that will suit their family and way of life.

Price, payment terms, and timing

The decision to buy often depends on the price, the possibility of taking out a mortgage or paying in instalments. The actual completion date and handover of keys are also important.

Developer’s reputation

Future owners want to know whom they are placing their trust in. Previous projects, the company’s reliability, and having all the necessary legal documents play an important role.

Location, infrastructure, and environment

While working on the website, I realised that people want to imagine straight away what it would feel like to live there. My task was to show why one would truly want to call this place home.

I gathered information about nearby schools, hospitals, shops, and other facilities. To convey the atmosphere, I included photographs of parks, the beach, as well as sports and shopping centres.

Apartment layouts and sizes

Each apartment comes with detailed information: total floor area, balcony and kitchen size, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and parking spaces.

A visual floor plan with dimensions clearly shows how comfortable and functional the apartment is.

On the page, there are buttons to download the plan or reserve the apartment. Visitors can quickly explore the details and make a decision with ease.

Price, timing, and payment terms

It was essential to present the information clearly and accessibly, so that buyers could quickly find answers and move confidently towards choosing and purchasing their new home.

Apartment prices

I gathered all the information into a table: prices, floor area, number of rooms, floor level, and status — available, reserved, or sold.

For each apartment, the floor plan can be downloaded immediately, and if it suits, it can be reserved online. This simplifies the selection process and helps buyers make a decision more quickly.

Completion dates

I specified the exact handover date, so buyers do not need to guess — they can immediately see when they will be able to move in.

Payment terms

I included a contact form and sales department details, so that buyers can quickly enquire about instalment plans or mortgages.

Developer’s reliability and transaction transparency

To highlight the developer’s reliability, I added a section about the team to the website. It features specialists with expertise in construction, finance, marketing, and design.

Alongside this, there is a section on partners: Econstruction {contractor}, Millennium bcp {financial partner}, and Profico {project monitoring}.

Buyers can immediately see who stands behind the project. Well-known companies, clearly defined roles, and an open, visible team all build trust and demonstrate that the project has undergone thorough scrutiny.

The developer can add new buildings and apartments to the website independently

This approach solves two tasks

Clients can see in advance which buildings will be added to the complex and when they will be completed, helping them plan their purchase.

The developer can add buildings and apartments independently using a convenient template, allowing updates to be made quickly and easily.

It was important to present the information in a clear and logical way for clients

How I improved the website’s visibility on Google and other search engines

{01}

Registered the website with Google and Yandex

I connected Google Search Console and Yandex Webmaster, allowing search engines to index the pages more quickly and display them in search results.

{02}

Configured titles and descriptions

I set unique titles and meta descriptions with relevant keywords for each page. This helps the website appear for the right search queries.

{03}

Made the text structure clear

I used headings from H1 to H4, making the content easier to read for visitors and easier to analyse for search engines.

{04}

Optimised the website for local search

I included the address, telephone number, and a map, allowing users to quickly find the company and plan their route.

{05}

Enabled a secure protocol

I switched the website to HTTPS, which protects user data and improves search rankings.

{06}

Set up navigation and the 404 page

I designed a clear site structure with easy-to-use internal links for visitors. For errors, there is a 404 page offering the option to return to the homepage or go to the relevant section.

{07}

Implemented responsive design

The website functions smoothly on all devices, which is important both for users and for search engines.

As a result, the website ranks at the top for the key search term — just after the paid ads

I've worked with Aliaksei on more than three projects, focused on web design and development. His work is always professional, modern, and tastefully executed, with great attention to detail. What stands out the most is his responsibility and commitment to deadlines. Highly recommend.
