A portfolio website for theatre and film actor Pavel Kharlanchuk

About the project

An actor’s website should appeal to both fans and industry professionals.

I designed it so that fans can get to know Pavel better through photos and personal stories, while casting directors can quickly find his portfolio, trailers, and work samples.

Objectives to be achieved through the website

Online reputation

Develop the actor’s personal brand

Present Pavel as a successful and recognisable theatre and film actor through his roles, achievements, and a compelling visual identity.

Attract professional contacts

Provide easy access to the portfolio, trailers, and filmography so casting directors and producers can quickly assess the actor’s potential.

Maintain connection with fans

Offer audiences the chance to get to know Pavel better as both an actor and a person through his creative journey, photos, and news updates.

Easy content updates

The website should be simple to update without technical difficulties — for new roles, performances, and films.

To demonstrate Pavel’s demand and professionalism, I presented his filmography in a convenient format. Visitors can immediately see the scope and variety of roles he has played

I created a separate page dedicated to Pavel’s theatre roles to showcase his versatility as an actor. This makes it easier to appreciate his experience and range on stage

Scenes from stage performances at Yanka Kupala Theatre, including a lively scene from “Revizor” with actors in period costumes.
Independent content updates
Adding a new role requires no programmer — everything is updated through a simple and intuitive interface.

Monochrome photos emphasise facial features, light, and shadow. They help casting directors perceive the actor’s texture and emotional expression

In colour photos with good lighting, the eye, hair, and skin tones are clearly visible. This helps casting directors imagine the actor in the appropriate role

I aimed to make the website a place not only for professionals but also for fans

Fan Club

I created a dedicated section for fans

I developed a page with exclusive content not found in other sections. This transforms the site from a mere portfolio into a space for engaging with the audience.

Added rare photos

I included images not publicly available elsewhere. This makes the section special and encourages fans to return to the website.

Shared personal stories and interviews

The website features texts where Pavel shares his thoughts, experiences, and interesting moments from his life. This helps audiences get to know him better as a person.

Explained how to receive a signed photo

I clearly outlined the simple steps needed to obtain an autographed picture—without unnecessary complications or confusing conditions.
